Lake Crichton Series - Triathlon & Duathlon

The 2018 Lake Crichton Series is a three race series utilising the world class, man-made Lake Crichton. Found on Frasers Road, 25mins south of Hornby and 2km south of Dunsandel, Lake Crichton is extremely safe, no deeper than 1.9m, naturally heated to mid 20 degrees and only about 50m wide It is the most tranquil setting for a tri.
While Chris and Robyn are very accommodating to people using their lakes, please ensure you do not treat their lakes as a public waterway. Contact them if you want to make use of their lakes on 0272224480 or email@example.com.
The Friday evening series allows for all competitors, young & old, experienced & first timers, to finish their working week with a race. You can enter individually or in a team.
There are two race distances, detailed below, for both the triathlon and the duathlon. The triathlon begins with a lake swim (in water start), followed by a road bike and finished off with an off road run. The duathlon follows the same bike and run course as the triathlon but has a short run before you get on your bikes.
Fridays – 19 January, 9 February & 2 March.
Short Course Tri/Du – 150m swim/1.5km run, 8km road bike, 2.25km off-road run
Long Course Tri/Du – 400m swim/1.5km run, 16km road bike, 4.2km off-road run

Entry Fees (either triathlon or duathlon):
Single Race: Individuals – Adult: $25, Student: $15 (incl. tertiary students)
All Teams – $30
Whole Series: Individuals – Adult: $65, Student: $40 (incl. tertiary students)
All Teams – $75
** Series entry fees will increase by $10 ($5 for students) from 1st January **
Online entries will close at midnight the Wednesday preceding each race. There is a $10 late entry fee for all entries on the night.
